- To know God and to experience freedom as whole persons through Jesus Christ;
- To develop a creative, supportive fellowship;
- And to expand concepts of missions through participation in the global ministries of the Church.
United Methodist Women strive to give help and hope to those less fortunate by our prayers, pledges, gifts and time.
The Quilters of Faith’s newest project this summer is quilts for the 36 South Sudanese orphans under the care of the Holston Conference. The children were forced to flee the orphanages in South Sudan when the fighting escalated and their lives were at risk. After walking many miles, they arrived at the Rhino Refugee Camp outside of Arua, Uganda where they now live. The quilts for the children of Grace Home orphanage will be a tangible reminder of God’s unfailing love and protection.
The Quilters of Faith will be cutting and laying out quilts at the next meeting, July 22.
Everyone is invited – no sewing or quilting skills are necessary.
