More About Us

Who We Are

We are people who seek to know more of the God of love and grace in and through Jesus Christ. We are people who share the love of God with others through our actions and words. We are people who welcome others as God has welcomed us into God’s own life through Jesus Christ. We are people who look for ways to be a reminder of God’s presence and love in our community and beyond.

What We Believe

The community at Allen Memorial United Methodist believe in caring for people who need shelter from the storms of life. We believe standing with people who have been hurt. We believe in helping those who feel disconnected from God. We believe in walking with those who seek to be awakened to God’s presence in their life and the world. God sent Jesus to the world so that all people may know who God is and find healing and wholeness through the love of Jesus Christ. God is never finished with any of us so we are always people on The Way. God is with us and for us.

What We Do

At Allen Memorial United Methodist Church, our mission is to seek God, welcome people, offer Jesus, and serve others. To seek God is to love God. We grow more in love of God by gathering each week for worship.

We welcome people by making space for people of all ages to use their gifts and talents. We value each person who walks through our doors. We have opportunities for children, youth, and adults to grow in love of God and others. We invite you to come as you are.

We offer Jesus by growing in our relationship with one another and becoming more fully who we were created to be.  Only through a relationship with Jesus can we grow into the people God created us to be. Through a relationship with Jesus, our lives are changed. We gather each Sunday to worship together at 11:00 AM. We gather in small groups at 10:00 AM on Sunday and various other times to ask questions, to study scripture and to form lasting friendships. Come and join us. We have a place for you.

We serve others through loving acts of kindness, compassion and generosity. Jesus fed the hungry, healed the sick, and cared for the stranger. We seek to be Jesus’ hands and feet in our community and the world.
